I hope everyone has had a great week.
Here at school we have been busy. After much research, our writers are taking on the challenge of writing a narrative about the night Rosa Parks was arrested. They will become Rosa and write from her perspective. We are fortunate to have almost a complete class set of Chromebooks for students to work on these pieces of writing. This allows for greater collaboration among teachers and students, clearer feedback, along with opportunities to easily share writing with you!
If you are interested, I have set up a shared Google Drive folder with each student. Right now it is shared between each student and me. I can add you to this shared folder so you can view the work your student is doing from home! Email me if you want to give this a try.
I mentioned we almost have a complete set of computers. With our high numbers of students, we are short 3 computers. I have put up a Donorschoose project to get those 3 computers. Thank you to everyone has donated. If you would like to donate, or know someone who would, you can find the project here: One Computer For Each Student
In Social Studies, we were visited by our third president, Thomas Jefferson. President Jefferson talked to us about his part in the Declaration of Independence, as well as the Constitution. (See picture below)
